Stryker Navigation – Medical Device Housing System

Scope:
Development and production of five main plastic assemblies forming the housing of Stryker’s surgical navigation system.

Design & Engineering:
In collaboration with the customer’s design and engineering teams, ROMAY conducted a feasibility study and developed a housing structure meeting all mechanical and ergonomic requirements for surgical applications.

Tooling & Production:
Five steel and aluminium moulds were designed and produced for use on existing production equipment. Components are manufactured using SMC hot pressing and PUR moulding, with all visible surfaces finished on ROMAY’s in-house painting lines. Company logos are applied using silk-screen printing to ensure durable adhesion.

Procurement & Assembly:
All sourced components were evaluated and procured in close coordination with the customer. Final assembly is carried out at dedicated workstations to ensure precise handling and consistent quality.

Logistics:
Finished products are delivered directly to the customer’s production department to support continuous manufacturing flow.

Result:
The completed housing system meets stringent medical-grade standards for strength, precision, and ergonomics, ensuring reliable performance in surgical environments.
